Bottle Stand
This bottle stand was created as an introduction to plasma cutting and welding. The angle between the base and arm was determined in SolidWorks in order to balance the stand when holding a full bottle of wine. The pieces were plasma cut from 1/4" steel with details CNC milled. The gusset was welded in place to assemble the stand.
Yo-Yo
This yo-yo was created as an introduction to injection molding. A half yo-yo was designed from scratch and then used to create two mold halves. Toolpaths were created in SolidWorks using the HSMWorks plugin. The molds were CNC milled from aluminum and the yo-yo halves were created using a tabletop, hand-operated injection molding machine.
Cookie Cutters
After learning to use a desktop 3D printer, I created a series of cookie cutters for fun and as gifts for friends and family. The outlines were traced from images imported into SolidWorks and, with a few simple extrustions, voilà! A cookie cutter!
